Rajkumar Das; 30th March 2023, Thursday: The Rt. Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning, Bishop of Calcutta, in a press conference discussed the revival of the "Mary Cooper Home". He said this is one more of his dream projects which was lost for over 75 years, un-known to the Diocese and to the rest of the world- "Mary Cooper Home".
The Rt. Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning, Bishop of Calcutta, is a Visionary Bishop, an outstanding Anglican background Bishop and a well-known social activist. He is responsible for opening up the Diocese to the outside world through his outreach work. He had reclaimed the home back to the Diocese of Calcutta.
Mary Cooper Home is situated at 4/2 Diamond Harbour Road, Kolkata 700 023. With the intervention of Bishop Dr. Canning, the Old Age Home will be now equipped with all modern amenities for the comfortable stay of the inmates. It belongs to the Calcutta Diocesan Trust Association (Pvt.) under the Diocese of Calcutta.
