The East India Fertility Conclave-2025

India's total fertility rate (TFR) is remarkably low despite its large population, and this trend continues to decline. However, the latest advancements in technology offer promising solutions to this issue. To address this concern, the East India Fertility Conclave-2025 brought together approximately 500 gynecologists and fertility specialists.


The conference featured esteemed faculty, including Dr. S. Suresh, Dr. Pramathesh Das Mahapatra, and Dr. Byjoyanti, Dr. Sudip Basu, Dr. Dibyendy Banerjee, Dr. Suparna Bhattacharya, Dr.ayndri Sannyal, Dr. SM Rahaman and many other  local celebrity doctors,  who shared their expertise on cutting-edge treatments and technologies. Dr. Sudip Basu, Chairperson of the West Bengal Chapter, highlighted the conference's comprehensive approach, which included 11 workshops on the first day.


Key highlights of the conference included:


- The Late Kamal Kumar Das Memorial Oration, delivered by Dr. S. Suresh, on "Fetal Medicine: Past, Present, and Future"

- The Dr. BN Chakraborty Memorial Oration on Endometriosis, presented by Dr. Pramathesh Das Mahapatra

- An open forum on "Social Media for Doctors: A Boon or Bane," moderated by Dr. Kunal Sarkar


The conference emphasized the importance of advanced diagnostic tools, such as postmodern pelvic ultrasound, fertility scans, and 3D imaging, in treating infertility. Experts also discussed the potential benefits of genetic analysis, probiotics, and artificial intelligence in fertility treatment.


Notably, Dr. Dibyendu Banerjee stressed the significance of identifying the underlying causes of infertility through genetic analysis to achieve optimal treatment outcomes. The conference also acknowledged the complexities and risks associated with IVF pregnancies, highlighting the need for careful management.


The East India Fertility Conclave-2025 provided a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among specialists, paving the way for improved fertility treatment outcomes in the future.
